About
A haiku is a traditional Japanese poem structured in three lines, usually following the order of 5, 7, and 5 syllables.
Lahore is a home, a city, and a universe in Pakistan.
Not all of the haikus here are about Lahore. Many of them are about other places. Many of them are about faces. You’ll find a bit of Ann Arbor, Michigan in here too.
All haikus are copyrighted by the author. They can be reproduced without the author’s permission for noncommercial purposes only. If you do happen to use something that you like here, just let me know!

This is just brilliant!
Just brilliant!
A great concept. It is something new and fresh, as compared to content about Pakistan on other blogs. A real pleasure to read, especially when one just wants to take a break.
Good luck with your efforts.
Very creative and absolutely refreshing.
Nice, Basim. A toast to the great city — Lahore: may the Canal forever course through its soul.
You work is very unique and very beautiful. Please keep on inspiring us.
This is very unique jee. And nice. Refreshing is a good description.
As a Lahore away from my hometown I love reading your work. I have this page bookmarked at work. I can relate to most of the stuff that you write.
Keep up the good work
So beautiful, but it’s been nearly a month since your last haiku. Please do update.
This is lovely. For the first time, I am compelled to write poetry. Maybe, it’s that time of the night, maybe it’s the rain, or maybe it is just what it is.
